Abstract

Design goals as preserving local produce in the culinary field and as a bridge to the limited information about the existence of traditional foods in Surabaya. Then the book production process is done by interview, observation, and study of the existing literature that is useful to define the concept of the design is carried in the manufacture of books. Through analysis of the theme of concept design concept gained a Rescue Culture. Concept that carried the theme in the book-making must truly reflect the rescue culture, especially in the culinary field then in the process of taking pictures, layout shows that most of the traditional foods that should be saved, guarded and preserved its existence is all around us. From the results of this book deal is expected to help increase public awareness that it is important to preserve the local product related to the existence of its own traditional food that traditional foods are not colonized by foreign food or fast food is now a choice of society.
